Recommended things to do
Although Molokai is very quiet and relaxing, there are plenty of things to keep you busy if you are interested. Below is a list and contact information. I will try to add and update as I get new information.
-
Captain T. Charters - Are you looking for some Deep-Sea-Fishing, Whale Watching, Snorkeling, a leisurely tour of the Worlds Highest Sea Cliffs or a Sunset Cruise. Contact Captain Tim and he will take care of you
-
Halawa Valley Fall Cultural Hike - Although we have yet to take this tour, many of our guest have and say it is great. It is on private property, so you must go with a tour ($60 per person).
-
Molokai Museum and Cultural Center - Really nice restored sugar mill. Learn a little bit about the history of Molokai as well as some information about Kalaupapa.
-
The Nature Conservancy - Beautiful hike through the Rain Forrest on 6" wide planks. You can go with the Conservancy if you are here during the one day a month they take people up, or you can go on your own if you have a 4wd. If you do not have a 4wd with a lot of clearance, you will have to park at the lookout and and walk the 2 miles to the trail head. You will still need a 4wd to drive to the lookout.
-
Kaupoa (Tentalow Ruins) - A fun, easy hike to the old Sheraton Tentalow site. You access the trailhead from Dixie Maru Beach and it is a pretty easy path that is less than a mile and a half.
