The island is covered with wildlife. It is not uncommon to have a herd of 100+ Axis deer cross the road in front of you. Drive carefully. | Take a drive into the lush tropical rainforest. It is 17 miles up into the mountains (You probably will not see anyone). There are things to see along the way, and a beautiful hike when you reach the top. Bring rain gear, it is a true rainforest. |

Amazing Experience!!!
We had such an amazing time at this perfect bed and breakfast! We were the first guests at the Kahakai Hale. Yvette & Mike were amazing - they asked for feedback but we had trouble thinking of anything to improve on. Their communication was wonderful - they met us at the airport with the car (also rented from them - a huge plus since car rentals on Molokai are hard to come by). They were there to answer our questions whenever we needed. Breakfast was delicious (especially Mike's homemade english muffins!). They gave great advice - the water really does get rough after 9am but magically calm at 5pm sharp, ha! They set us up for paddleboarding and kayaking off of the beach right in front of the house. The location was perfect. The beach was steps away - with a clear view of the water from the house. Town was just a 5 minute drive away! The place was clean, comfortable, and adorable. It had everything we could want/need. I would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Molokai and would (and have) recommend it to all of my friends! Thanks Yvette & Mike!
PAPOHAKU BEACH
Papohaku is one of the longest white sand beach in Hawaii. It is actually 3 kilometers long and on most days you may be one of the only ones there (If not the only one). It is within walking distance (Everything is walking distance if you have the time), or a 5 min drive from the condo.
THE HAWAII OF YESTERDAY
Molokai is an island trapped in time. There is no traffic much less traffic lights. No building is taller than a coconut tree and there are no commercial businesses to speak of. All of the stores and restaraunts are locally owned and operated and close early. This is a place you come to get away from it all and relax.
